Developing an Animal Emergency Response Team

If you have been interested in starting an Animal Emergency Response Team and just do not know how to get started, this class is for you! Nature’s Way will share federal law that requires local jurisdictions to have a plan for animal emergency response and newly revised NFPA standard 1670 that includes Animal Technical Rescue. We discuss the steps to take in starting an animal emergency response team and how important credentialing is to the viability of your group.

Examples of what type of incidents you may be called to respond to will be discussed at length. The afternoon will concentrate on live animal hands-on training in technical large animal rescue, some of the most complicated and dangerous situation you will encounter. After completing this 8 hours course you will be ready to move ahead and begin the steps that it requires to start an ANIMAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM!
